Wrecks, reefs, caves and coastal dive sites around the island.
Cyprus offers wrecks, reefs, caves and sheltered coastal sites for a range of experience levels. Conditions vary by location and season, so the right site depends on certification, recent experience, weather and the guidance of a qualified dive centre.
The Zenobia wreck
The Zenobia, lying off Larnaca, is the island’s best-known wreck dive. Its scale and depth make planning, certification and an experienced local operator essential.
Where to dive
Larnaca is known for wreck diving, while Protaras and the southeast offer accessible coastal sites. Limassol has artificial reefs and wrecks, and the Paphos coast includes wreck, cave and amphora sites. Not every location suits every diver or every day.
Marine life and responsible diving
Depending on the site and season, divers may encounter octopus, moray eels, wrasse, rays, seahorses and sea turtles. Keep distance from wildlife, avoid touching the seabed or archaeological material, and follow the briefing given by the dive professional.
