About the event
Echoes of Cyprus is a 28-minute documentary built around field recordings made across the island in 1953. Traditional songs, oral poetry, tsiattista and instrumental music guide ethnomusicologist Nicoletta Demetriou’s return to that journey. The world-premiere screening has English subtitles and is followed by live music; admission is free, but advance reservation is required.
