About the event
Bread ovens, village crafts and traditional dance bring Klirou’s old centre to life for its sixth cultural festival. The 2026 edition runs on 9–10 October, with the main public programme on Saturday 10 October from 15:30 and free entry. Visitors can move between the old centre’s squares for hands-on activities, children’s storytelling and crafts, and music and dance from Cyprus and different Greek regions. The announced workshops include tsippopitta and millopitta, with participation from Lefkoniko and Lapithos, as well as gourd decoration. A traditional Cypriot wedding reenactment is also part of the programme. The church courtyard hosts the main music and dance performance at 20:00; the official tourism listing gives 20:30 as the closing time. Friday includes the opening ceremony and an exhibition launch. The Friday workshop start is inconsistent within the official listing, so no Friday opening hour is asserted here. Food and drinks are available, but their prices are not confirmed.
