Millomeri Waterfall
A tall, narrow fall a short walk from Pano Platres.
The walk down from Pano Platres to Millomeri: 1.2 kilometres and about half an hour through dense pine and varied vegetation, to a 15-metre fall on the Kryos river.
Millomeri has two trails leading to it. This is the one that starts in Platres, between the church and the centre of the village: 1.2 kilometres and about half an hour, and the more demanding of the pair, running through varied vegetation and dense pine with small bridges along the way.
The other way in leaves the B8 road: follow the signs to a small car park, and a short walk takes you almost to the foot of the fall. The space is small and fills quickly.
The air turns noticeably cooler as you approach the water. The path drops most of the way down, so the return to Platres is the uphill half — short, but graded difficult by the Forestry Department for good reason.
Essential advice for every trail on the island.

Carry at least 2 litres per person. Natural water sources are scarce, especially in summer.
Sturdy hiking boots with ankle support are essential for rocky terrain and mountain trails.
Bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. The Cyprus sun is intense even in cooler months.
Download offline maps. Mobile signal can be weak in mountain areas and on remote trails.
Mountain weather changes quickly. Bring layers even if you start in warm conditions.
