Vizakia sits near the Cavo Maris hotel in Protaras, and its first quality is the water: unusually transparent even by the standards of this coast, running through the blues you come to Cyprus for.
Why it stays quiet
Protaras is known for being busy. Vizakia is the opposite — small bays in its immediate vicinity give a quieter, less crowded setting, and the coves let you find somewhere to sit that is genuinely your own for the afternoon.
Coffee with a view
There are coffee shops and cafés close by. The Kafeneio of Cavo Maris is the nearest — a drink there comes with the whole expanse of the sea in front of you, which is a decent way to end a swim.
